Businesses have come up with websites and blogs pertaining to their product and services but, sometimes it is slightly difficult to ascertain the success of a website. It is important to know the details to analyze the website as to where it is heading in this competitive era.
You need to track the statistics of your website, which is one of the most important elements when it comes to measuring the progress of it.
Well, using SEO and analytics, you can get detailed information about the visitors like traffic source, reader demographics, bounce rate, etc. that are critical in determining the online success of a blog or a website.
What Is Google Analytics?
If you want to get detailed information about your website traffic: from where it is coming, which pages users are visiting, and much more such info, Google Analytics is what you need. It measures results in the best possible way, right from the real-time analysis of individual campaigns to the previous data of the website.
Scope of Google analytics to make sense of your data
It covers all the channels that direct traffic to your website. Such as:
1. Paid Search (PPC)
2. Backlinks

What Google Analytics Does?
Google Analytics makes use of Javascript to transmit data from the server to draw the information of the website visitors, where it helps to understand how your webpages are performing considering different areas such as:
Who is following you?
Google Analytics has enabled this feature by default, so if you wish to get information regarding the live visitors of the website, you may opt for the paid version.
Conversion is all that matters at the end!
It’s always good to know where your website visitors are coming but, when it comes to conversion tracking, Google Analytics is a great tool. It helps to set up goals and monitors the timely completion of the goals regardless of the number of visitors who visited your website.
Find the one who is interested
Google analytics helps to review the way users interact with your website and content. The three different parameters to measure customer engagement are:
Pages/Sessions: It includes the average number of pages that a visitor views excluding the ones that are bounced on the part of the visitor.
Average Session Duration: It refers to an average amount of time that a visitor spends on a website which is totally exclusive of the bounced webpages.
Bounce Rate: If a visitor quickly navigates away from your website after seeing a page and avoids interacting with it, it is called Bounce Rate. It depicts the disinterest that a visitor shows while browsing through your website. These are some of the major stats that are used in determining whether a website is performing well or not.
How can we forget mobiles?
Google Analytics determines your success rate when it comes to measuring the number of visits that you get on web-enabled mobile devices. The scope has risen in recent years due to the availability of smartphones and thus mobile browsers started to contribute a lot to it.
Your data is aligned with your business goals
When we are to achieve a certain goal, information is treated as data; otherwise, it’s just a piece of information. For instance, adding a product to the cart is a business goal that has to be completed, if not, it’s a mere piece of information for you. If the information provided after extensive research cannot be used in tracking performance and generating comparisons with the set goals, it makes no sense. Google Analytics has a major role in goal setting for the business and deriving conclusions on the scope of improvement after analyzing the data.
Effective content is what is needed to make an impact
Google Analytics very well quantifies the impact the content on the website has on the visitors in the form of the number of visits that a webpage receives and the average time spent. This helps to understand what your visitors are typically searching and where you can place the ads on the website.
Earn money through the wealth called ‘information’
If you are thinking of implementing Google Adsense to monetize your website, Google Analytics plays an important role in extracting the information. This information would help you differentiate between the top and the least performing webpages. This way you would be able to make adequate changes with the objective to boost your earnings through Adsense.
Advertise before the right people!
When it gets hard to attract visitors to your website, Google ads can be a game changer, but the question is —are the ads placed making money?. Google Analytics allows you to research on better keywords which helps to create effective and competent landing pages. It also shows how effective your ad campaign is.
Final Word
Now that you know how important Google Analytics is to track your performance, you should surely implement it to enhance your reach. Moreover, make as much use of this great tool to optimize your website to improve your marketing campaigns so that you can get better returns in terms of traffic and conversions.
